
Complete every Bounty in these special Acts and you'll receive twice as many Blood Shards for your trouble. Note that every time you start up a game, two random Acts will be marked on the map as having a Bonus attached to them. You'll also receive some gold, Blood Shards to spend at the Gambler and a handful of Rift Keystone Fragments which are used to open Rifts. These mini-quests send you to a specific area of the game map to either complete a local event or kill a nominated Elite creature.

When you begin an Adventure Mode game, each of Diablo 3's five Acts will be assigned five different Bounties. Kill enough of them and you'll get to face off against a particularly powerful elite enemy known as a Rift Guardian.


In the former, you complete bite-sized missions sprinkled across all five of Diablo 3's Acts, while the latter consist of deep and dank dungeons filled with swarms of enemies. This new way of playing through the game is split into two different sections: Bounties and Nephalem Rifts. Once you've complete all five Acts of Diablo 3's storyline on a single character, you can either begin your journey all over again or take part in the new Adventure Mode.
